Organic Synthesis Service

The various services offered by the Organic Synthesis Service are based on the solid expertise of more than twenty years’ experience, specifically in steroid chemistry, combinatorial chemistry (on solid support and in solution) and in the synthesis of bioactive molecules. Founded in 2008 by Drs. René Maltais and Donald Poirier, the SSO has completed over fifty projects in small molecule synthesis. The mission of our service is to facilitate the access to medicinal chemistry researchers in the scientific community so that they can move their academic discoveries forward into preclinical and clinical applications.

Research group synthesis activities

The different research groups from MCPF have specialize expertise and facilities for the synthesis of different family of molecules:

Donald Poirier: (ex: steroidal derivatives)

René C.-Gaudreault: (ex: anticancer agents)

Eric Biron (ex: Peptide synthesis)
